Terry Clelen, specialist with Community Affairs, was awarded the Hands on Greater Portland Volunteer Award at the 2012 Heart of the Community Awards Luncheon on Feb. 7. The Heart of the Community Awards celebrates outstanding volunteers and their commitment to the community. Clelen was selected by the Hands on Greater Portland staff for her commitment to volunteer action and advocacy.

PGE was awarded the Equity Award in the Large Business Category at the Equity Foundation’s annual Equity Awards on Jan. 20. The Equity Awards are presented to businesses that are exceptional in employment practices and policies benefiting diverse races, religions, mental or physical abilities, and any other minority group.

Imagination Award (May 2012)

Carole Morse, manager of Community Investments Initiatives for PGE and president of the PGE Foundation, was awarded the Imagination Award at the 2012 Oregon Children’s Theatre Imagination Luncheon on May 1. Morse was honored for her advocacy in arts education and dedication to the community.
